چکیده
Objectives : The aim of this research is to examine the effects fructose-drinking on plasma levels appetite-regulating hormones insulin, leptin and ghrelin in male female rats. Methods Mature Wistar rats were divided as follows: two control groups - (CM) (CF); (FDM) (FDF), received 15% fructose solution. experiment lasted 11 weeks. At end, well lipid glucose profile assessed. Results Plasma concentrations examined elevated groups. However, FDM group only significantly increased compared control. In FDF group, all three showed highest comparison other Conclusion Sex may affect appetite-regulation signals could be a factor contributing degree metabolic changes caused by long-term overconsumption.

Protective effect of curcumin in fructose-induced metabolic syndrome and in streptozotocin-induced diabetes in rats
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of pre-treatment with curcumin on metabolic changes induced by two different pathophysiological mechanisms in rats (fructose diet and streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetes mellitus). Materials and Methods: Five groups with 10 rats per group were investigated: control group (healthy rats), fructose diet groups without any pre-treatme...
متن کاملTroxerutin Chronic Treatment Protects against Fructose-induced Metabolic Syndrome in Male Rats
Background and Aims: Metabolic syndrome, a common metabolic disorder, for the serious health consequences such as insulin resistance and lipid abnormalities has been considered as a major clinical challenge with obscure causes. Oxidative stress is an important component of metabolic syndrome, contributing in its development. Troxerutin, a semi-synthetic derivative of natural bioflavonoid rutin,...

متن کاملEffects of morin on blood pressure and metabolic changes in fructose-induced hypertensive rats.
High fructose (HF) feeding induces a moderate increase in blood pressure in rats, which is associated with insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, and hypertriglyceridemia. In the present study, we examined the chronic effect of morin, a flavonoid isolated from medicinal plants, on blood pressure, lipid profiles, and serum insulin and glucose in HF-induced hypertensive rats. Rats were divided int...
متن کاملUrsodeoxycholic Acid Ameliorates Fructose-Induced Metabolic Syndrome in Rats
The metabolic syndrome (MS) is characterized by insulin resistance, dyslipidemia and hypertension. It is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular diseases and type-2 diabetes. Consumption of fructose is linked to increased prevalence of MS. Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) is a steroid bile acid with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory activities and has been shown to improve insulin resistance. ...
